Dear Ken Russell,

You do not make it clear if you are firing your work under oxidation or =
reduction. No doubt you will be told that holding for a longer period at =
top temperature will help the pinholes to seal. But this does not =
explain why pinholes develop in such a widespread fashion or what the =
gas is. Since it seems as though you are using oxides and there is no =
whiting in your base, glaze carbon dioxide can be eliminated from the =
system. This leaves Oxygen as the main culprit.

I would like more information.

Best regards,

Ivor Lewis. Redhill, South Australia.
