This airfare business is crazy. Everything going into
Charlotte is unreasonably expensive. It must be all the
NCECA traffic.

First, I found out that it cost MORE to fly to Charlotte
than to fly to Greensboro, with a stop in Charlotte, ON
THE SAME PLANE.

Now prices are going up.
10 days ago a flight from Tyler, Texas to Charlotte was
$316 on http://www.travelocity.com.
I was busy and didn't book it. Now it's a whopping $498.
There are several reasonably close airports (less than 100
miles) you can fly into and save a ton: Greensboro, NC,
Columbia, SC, and Greenville-Spartanburg, SC.
They are in the $260 range (half as much) from Tyler.
I think I'll fly into Greenville-Spartanburg, because I want
to visit Asheville and Penland, and they are closest to
Spartanburg.
P. S. Has anyone visited the Biltmore Estate lately? Tickets
are a pricey $32. Do you get to look around as much as you'd
like, or do they heard you in and out?
