Up here in Montana vermiculite is a pretty scary word. Most of the town of
Libby has been screened for asbestos health problems the stats coming back
are not good. The long term looks even worse as this disease takes many,
many years before it shows up.

Many (not all) of the vermiculite deposits across the country are
contaminate with asbestos. Personally, I would not touch the stuff. I
know too many dead and dying people. Veronica
