fixing minor handle cracks in bisk

Hi All,
Over the holidays I came up with a way to save bisk mugs with
minor cracks in the upper join of the (pulled on mug) handle. I
ground the crack away with my Dremel using a blunt rounded
head. I use a fine grained clay, since rough clay tears up my
hands. So I get more cracking then I would like, especially
during busy times. I think I ws drying these mugs with a fan!
MUG DIRTH DESPERATION.
Anyway. Not one of the repaired mugs recracked in the glaze
firing. I'm probably the last on the block to use the Dremel on
bisk. But maybe there are others out there who haven't tried it!

Take Care
Jennifer

Admission time!

With minor joint cracks on what I call the thumb swipe, I crunch the
immediate area with a metal tool and glaze over it.

It doesn't show!
