ok, this is what i did.....took a celedon and turned it into dark
blue with a rutile bit added.
added gum arabic from an old bag....hot water and blender.
thick glaze...took off most of the water.
dipped, brushed, used iron washes. damn stuff stuck really well.
am going to take tom bucks advice and use some spray starch on
some as well. refire the entire mess late this week. along with
dogs from the last sale.)

in my opinion, warren mackenzie can charge whatever he wants. buck
a pot...who cares. they are his pots. he can throw them all in the
river at stillwater if he desires. they are his pots.
most people cannot get one anyway. they are not stacked up there
just waiting.....i get about a call every few months from people who have
purchased things...and want to know if it is a warren....usually not.
he has a ton of other people's stuff around. people rush in and buy
anything on the shelf. then ask later if it is a mackenzie.

i am sure he just laughs. that is what he is about....buy what suits
you, not the name on the bottom.
he has lived that philosophy for years...no one will change that old
scots mind....leave him alone, that is what he wants....just leave him
alone. he makes a ton of pots, and sells them all. i think that is the
name of the game. i try and do the same. hard to stack pots under
the bed like bad paintings.
