Knowing that terra sig is primarily a low fire technique, has anyone tried it
at cone 10 reduction? We have a friend that does terra sig at cone 6/7 with
beautiful results.

I believe Ed Eberle uses terra sig on high fire porcelain. Fires it in reduction.
Maybe Bunny McBride could give some insight from Univ of Iowa.

Hi Dorothy,
Do you think your friend would be willing to share her technique on
cone 6/7 terrasig. I would love to know more, if she would not mind. Of
course, it goes without saying that, if this is too much trouble for you or
for her, please just ignore my request.
All the best.

I wouldn't ignore you but I can't give any specifics. My terra sig will go
quite high, about 5 and will still shine. True, it shines a bit less than at
lower temps. Also remember that I apply my sig to bisque so most of the
shrinkage has already happened.

I think it probably depends on the preparation of the surface, the shrinkage
of the body and the shrinkage of the clay but I bet it could be done at cone
6/7.

Go for it, start experimenting. I'd start with a high temp ball clay on a
low shrink, fine grained, smoothed (maybe burnished a bit) body.
