I too would like to know more about this supplier. Of course it is specul=
ative
at this point but if the facts hold up I have several students who are
attorneys and one is a super attorney. I would be happy to let him read t=
he
information and see what he has to say.
Contact me off-list if you choose.

Hi,
Just to let everyone in on the details of this situation. I stopped doing buisness
with this
supplier back in the fall of 1998 just about the time of this charge. I had ordered
some dry glaze
and the order was back ordered for 3 or 4 months and they never made any effort to
explain
why or to give me some idea of when to expect the order. This after dealing with
several other
poor handling of their customer (me). I tend to be the kind to let these sorts of
things go since
I can have a bad day myself. My belief is that I had ordered the glaze and because
the back
order went so long and they seem to have the worst record keeping on the planet I
believe they
failed to charge for the order. This could be determined real quick if I could get
a list of the things on
the order in english words and not some obsure stocking number (which is what I
got). The other
alternative is all the things I ordered that were not in stock and did not pick up
are being charged
to me. A list of the items would solve this.

If there is any question about the charge I will pay, but the way this has been
handled is just a plain shame.
In my youth I would have probably got angry and swore alot, but I just feel sad
that a local supplier which
I would very much like to establish a relationship with is so narrowly focused.
This whole thing is over
about $70. I can waste that in one bad kiln load ;-). The loss this company has
suffered is much high and
they are'nt even aware of it. I have mixed feelings about giving their name, but I
suspect we as customers
should be aware of their buisness practices. I've always got along with the people
I dealt with there and
I think thats why this is bothering me so.
It's A.R.T.Studio Clay out of Sturtevant, WI.

I'm going to probably follow Kathi LeSueur's advise with the collection agency.
Once I see what the order
is for I'll either pay or bring up my objections.

Thanks for all the advise,
Barney
