Tony Hansen's Clear with colorants.
=20
Tested on white, iron flecked, mid range stoneware, fired to 1220c, =
oxidation.
=20
Receipe
27 Wallastonite
36 Frit 3134
35 EPK
5 Flint
=20
ADD=20
1 Cobalt oxie
5 Rutile
=20
Produced a stable glaze with a myriad of variations in the surface and =
color.
Where thickest, surface was mattish, with a greenish ground with almost =
lichen effect.
Where application was dipped once, the surface is glossy, a dark brown, =
with light blue
to greenish flecks. Where it meets the double dipped surface, the =
flecking joins together
to make the greenish overall ground. Iron oxide painting underneathe =
showed up under
glaze.
=20
Inside the the test bowl the surface is a dark brown with movement in =
the glaze causes
some blue streaking and pooling to bright cobalt blue gloss. =20
=20
Personal: This is a very exciting glaze in terms of the varied surfaces =
and colors=20
produced in such a small area of the test bowl. The inside brown with =
blue streaking
and pooling may satisfy Floating Blue fans. I will test this glaze on a =
bigger surface.
I especially liked the merging of the matt surface to the gloss surface.
