Well!!! that explains why the press mold that I was making recently never
did get solid. I used plaster from an opened box that was really old.
Really old. I was able to turn the whole mess over and rescue the stepping
stone shape I had carefully carved, and make a press mold out of some
hydracal I had here.

On the subject of finding your things at a thrift shop or garage sale....I
saw a nice small pot with lid of mine downtown for $2, so I bought it.
Thought the glaze looked boring, re-dipped it and fired in the next glaze
firing , and it sold for $24 at our co-op gallery. I wouldn't have felt
right about re-selling it without refiring; you never know what use a pot
has been put to (even more than I ever suspected- I've learned lately from
this list!)
