cracked skin and... "carrots"?

Dear Philip and all future Carrot-Converts!

First wash your mouths out with soap... All
those wicked thoughts! Dear me!! Whatever next?!

Secondly, look in the archives... There is a
great deal about chapped hands and cracked skin.
It happens every winter. If you cannot find that
particular carrot thread... Here is a brief
repeat:

You scrub a nice fresh, really carrotty looking
carrot (with or without greens, Phil) and then
slice off the tip. (You can eat that, it's good
for you).
You then rub the exposed, juicy carrot on the
affected part(s). If it is cracked and split
lips, just apply like a lipstick or salve, but
with more vigour. Rub until the carrot is "dry".
Slice off the dry part and continue. A couple of
"applications" should do the trick.

If you are treating hands, make sure you get
well between the fingers with a nice bit of
juicy carrot and rub in really well... I suspect
the friction helps the skin absorb whatever the
carrot is replenishing. Mostly moisture and
possibly vitamins like carotene.

Be careful if you are doing a "full facial".
Carotene is the main ingredient of
"self-tanning" products. You do not want to end
up looking like Mel's shino glaze!

Whichever other parts of your anatomy you decide
to treat, is entirely up to you!!! I do not wish
to know! But, take it from me, the vital rubbing
technique is naturally easier without clothes.

This is NOT a joke. I have not suffered from
chapped skin since I was told about this by an
old farm worker as a child... He knew all the
old ways. (see "The Old Man and his Tools" in
the archives).

Try it! You will be amazed! Honestly!

yesterday was open to misinterpretation... I was
laughing so much... Well, you know the
expression? Or is it too course for this list?
