Richard Carter's anagama kiln in Napa is for sale.
We lit it today: its last journey of fire at this location.
Because of the Napa River flood control project, the land the kiln is on will
be under water. It must be removed by January 31, 2001.
It fires beautifully. It is a 4' catenary arch more than16 feet long, with an
additional noborigama salt chamber at the back. Lotsa good brick.
It is located at 901A 8TH ST. NAPA, CA 94559. Phone is 707-224-1951.
