ps to clear glaze

It was pointed out to me that I didn't specify the clay body (thanks
Tom) on which we use the clear glaze.

The problem with this is that I manage a studio where we have available
a half dozen kinds of clay for the students, ranging from two dark red
and brown clays, all the way to a white pseudo-porcelain clay. The
clear we have works well on the white and buff clays, but gives a very
gray cast to all the medium to dark clays. Is there something which
will work well across the board?

Clear glazes generally look greyish on red/brown clays. -Snail
