Does anyone have a reliable black or green slip formula which works well at
Cone 10, salt firing?

These bare from Don Reitz workshop at Sheridan College '72.

Base 1
60% kaolin
15% f'spar
15% flint
10% ball clay

This give white apply to pot on wheeel head ie wet!!

black = 5% iron + 2% manganese

green = 6% rutile + 2% cobalt
or

Base #2
750 OM#4
375 Miss Fireclay
750 Buck spar
625 Flint
20% Borax

Again basically white base

green = 10% rutile + 1% cobalt

flint 20.0
borax 10.0
Gertsley Borate 10.0

Rutile 4 -honey
Red Iron 7 -colbalt 3- blue
Manganese 10 colbalt 10 -black
zircopax 10 ultrox 10 white
