I had to chime in on this one too. I presently have a Toshiba laptop
satellite version with CDROM less than 1 year old and have had problems with
it and between Toshiba and Home Depot and an expensive extended warrantee,
extra cost, we have been given the go around for a month now with each giving
us back to the other. We have been on the phone for days and gone to the
store but they each time invent some reason it is the other guy's
fault/problem, We are totally disgusted would suggest anyone considering
either company's products you plan for an awful time of it if anything needs
attending to.

Hello to All ,

M ,

I guess I must be lucky , this is my third year [ I believe ]
with this 305CDS Toshiba Satellite Laptop.

Never gave any problems , but did cost $950.00 or so
when I got it .
However , it does have Norton System Works and an
upgraded memory .

I crashed and re-installed 3 times in the first 2 months of
learning how to use it .
Not much of an expert on computers , so I can't suggest
any models .
