I like to bisque my pottery to vitrification. However, if I do when I
try to sawdust fire the piece the piece won't take on much of the black
or hues from the firing.

Is it possible to get the best of both worlds?

Some more info would be helpful.

Why do you like to bisque to vitrification? Is it for visual appearance
or function?
Are you making pottery that needs to hold liquid
or do you just want a surface that appears sealed or smooth?
At what temperature do you bisque fire your pots?
