vitrification & low fire

I have a question re: the above discussions.

I like to bisque my pottery to vitrification. However, if I do when I
try to sawdust fire the piece the piece won't take on much of the black
or hues from the firing.

Is it possible to get the best of both worlds?

Not in my experience, the clay needs to be soft, open, and therefore low
fired. I get the best results with pieces fired at about 800 degrees
centigrade, anything above that is too hard.
