Butters, Marion on fri 20 oct 00

I sent an e-mail not too long ago asking if anyone had any information on
classes in my area. Unfortunately,
I have not gotten any leads for classes in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.
Does anyone know of any night classes that may be happening in this area?
If not, does anyone know potters in the area that I could contact to find
out if they have any leads or would be willing to take on a beginner? I am
taking the basic wheel
instruction at the Craft Center located in the Student Union of the
University of Wisconsin. When I finish
this, I would like to have more instruction. Thanks for the help!

Hi there, Marion.

I don't know about Milwaukee, but I do have some suggestions for you. Look
in the yellow pages under "Art". Milwaukee probably has an art center or two
at which various classes of one type or another are offered. If they don't
offer classes, they will probably know who does.

If this doesn't work, call the ceramic stores. Even those that specialize in
cute bisqued figurines will be likely to know of pottery classes in the
area. Other sources would be university or college art departments; even
high school art teachers/students may be able to help you.

And if all else fails, I'm a great proponent of the reference librarian.
