I built an MFT 63" wide, 36" deep and 60" high. I use the target brick
arrangement suggested in Nils Lou's book, plus 1 more brick each side. The
kiln fires very evenly, less than half a cone difference from top to bottom,
usually less than a quarter cone.
I am careful about the pots that go directly along the flame channel. Some
of our glazes do better than others.
