Hello from Nottingham Center for the Arts,

We will be having our 2 nd. annual Halloween Party and Giant Pit Fire on Oct.
28 th.
>From Noon til Midnight ( or longer).

This year San Diego potter/sculptor David Cuzick will be firing several very
large sculptures he is doing for a commission work and it looks like we will
have to expand the pit to 20 ft. long x 5 ft. wide x 4 ft. deep to accomodate
his stuff.
The piece(s) are inspired by ancient So. West indian pottery.

Everyone is invited to come help load the pit and put a modest piece, or two,
in themselves. Loading will start around noon and we will have lots of stuff
to wrap pots in for fire marks and color ( slips, oxides, copper wire and
mesh, copper sprays , and lots more).

The party starts with the lighting of the pit just before dusk. There will be
refreshments ( both alcoholic and non ) plus munchies.
This is sort of a Potluck, byob so please bring stuff to eat and more
beverages.
We'll have the fire ring burning, good music, and lots of fun once again.
Openning of the pit will be around 10 a.m. on Sunday the 28 th. with coffee
and croisants provided.

RSVP to Terry Sullivan at Go2tms@aol.com or call (760) 752-1020

Lodging:
There are lots of good, inexpensive motels quite close by. Camping on site is
OK but no showers. Plenty of space for Motor Homes and trailers.

You can check out a full description with pictures from last year at Andy
Cliffs <> web site. Just click the "Pit Fire" link on
his home page.
