Hi John,

Thanks for the clarification. You answered the crucial question,
which was, "what do you mean by 'stable'?" Now that I know that
you mean "holds copper to an acceptable degree when leach-
tested", your comments make more sense to me, and are thus
more interesting and informative. This kind of detail is what I find
helpful in learning to use limit tables in a more thoughtful, less
mechanical way. Otherwise, your comment about "too much
alumina" just becomes another rule that I have no way to interpret.
I appreciate all the work you are doing in testing glazes, and look
forward to hearing more.
