Joyce -

I certainly don't have Betty Grables legs or Tina Turner's but I am 72 and
have a mentor and best friend in pottery.

Since I retired I have gained a whole new career and can not wait to get out
of bed to start on the new day every day.

My friend (mentor) and I meet every Tuesday and Thursday at his studio to
Raku for the upcoming holiday season sales. We are also bisquing now for
firing my wood-fired kiln. We will probably have 5 firings of wood beween
now and the end of November.

Your mentees are very fortunate to have some one like you and I am sure
there will be a good place for all of you who care about others (even if we
make you giggle). I look forward to seeing your name by a message on
Clayart. Thank you.

Hey Shula,
Of course you realize that when the "big one" hits
you could find yourself visiting Joyce at her waterfront
studio!
I suggest you keep a kayak handy so you can just paddle
to Joyce's shore!
Gayle Bair- On Bainbridge Island where not only will
we be hit with "the Big One" but we also have a tsunami and
Mt. Rainer blowing it's stack to look forward to!

It just seems that Joyce is having way too much fun out there in the Mojave.
If the Mojave wasn't so far from the ocean, I'd be tempted to move there
myself.

I live at the Northern edge of the Sonoran (Mojave is adjacent) and so far
I'm waiting for the fun. I guess the question to ask, since I was off the
last two or so weeks, is:
what, when, where, why and how?
