The only thing I have run into is fishing out kittens from the base of the
chimney before loading the kiln but then we have to check the cars in winter
for them as well,

We all talk about the safety of venting our harmful fumes to the
outdoors. Has anyone experienced wildlife being harmed by our safety
measures? Birds will gather near the warmth in winter. Rabbits etc.,
will drink dumped water.

Gary Larson (The Far Side) could create a wonderful cartoon of wildlife
pumping these harmful chemicals back into our homes.

Joanne,
If the vent system is installed and working properly the fumes are
mixed with fresh air in the plenum box of the vent before they are
discharged outside. This will bring them down to a safe level.
