limericks & majolica

To all of the aspiring poets and Janet & Vince,

I have been amused. I also know more about majolica (did I spell that
correctly)than I will ever need to know.

It is obvious that you are all very
talented and definitely a smart group.....but....... you have WAY TOO MUCH
free time on your hands.
Cheers,

Ingeborg

Actually, Ingeborg, I have very little free time. I just happen to place a
high priority on Clayart. I am merciless with the delete key, and if it is
a subject I am not particularly interested in, or if someone goes on too
long without getting to the point, or if they paste in a long previous
message before getting to their own message, then I delete very quickly.
Doesn't take me long at all to go through the day's messages, or to write
responses. It is just part of my day, and an important part that I very
much enjoy.
Best wishes -
- Vince

Very grateful you do Vince because of folks like you that DO take the time
to respond I am learning alot and sharing that information with others.
Some people are just more organized than others and can accomplish much in
a smaller amount of time.
Comments like that should be kept in ones own food bank !!! Thanks for
taking time . Rhonda S.C.

I didn't realize my comment was derogatory. In fact I thought it was
complementary. The only thing I should have added to the remark about
knowing more about majolica than I will ever need to know is --will I
remember it all???

It is really interesting how such a short statement, sent without malice and
thought to be a tad humorous can be taken as offensive.

A very long time ago I made up my mind not to get offended at much of
anything anyone says. It is very simple. You cannot offend me without my
permission. And I don't give my permission very often.

So, mea culpa mea culpa.....I don't have a personal food bank but I will
keep my remarks to myself in the future

Sincerely,

Ingeborg

Ingeborg -
Oh boy. This is a perfect example of how we all need to be very careful
about how we interpret the things we read on Clayart. Derrogatory?
Offensive? After reading this I went back and reviewed my post, and I am
sitting here wondering how you could have thought that I took offense.
Nothing in my post indicates that. I was simply explaining that I do my
Clayart mail every day because it is one of the most important and enjoyable
things in my day, and I do it regardless of how busy I am. I though people
might like to know that.

Please remember, if no offense was intended, there is none. You did not
offend me, and I certainly did not ever intend to offend you. Next time
something like this happens, post the person privately and give them the
opportunity to clarify their meaning before you post to the whole list.

Best wishes -
- Vince
