Diane,

I suggest you find another supplier. Zircopax is an extremely common
ingredient which your supplier should keep in stock. Even if he's out, he
should be able to get it quickly. He just doesn't want to be bothered. You
don't need Zircopax in large quantities, so shipping it from across the
country, if necessary, shouldn't be a problem. If you need suggestions for
suppliers, I'll be happy to help. Also, if you post your whereabouts to
Clayart, others near your area will surely offer suggestions.

I'm a little ashamed to admit it but I almost have never used a white glaze
and now have the urge to do so. What I am looking for is a white that breaks
over textured pieces and an opaque white for smooth ware and as a liner
glaze. I know there are dozens upon dozens to test from the archives but I
am hoping some kind soul might share a glaze that they have had success with
in the past and save me hours. You may contact me offline if you wish.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Tom,

This is a synthetic Nuka white, a silica white. Don't know
if it is what you are looking for:. It breaks, is opaque when thick,
looks good over ocher slip. Waterfalls nice over temmoku.
