I'm starting to look into some of the glaze techniques I was never
taught anything about in school. Going through my supply catalog, I see
overglazes, a variety of overglaze enamels, underglaze stains,
underglaze pens, lustres, and colored ices. I fire to cone 6/7 in
oxidation, but would be interested in trying something that fired on top
of that to cone 06/04. Can anyone give me some examples of the uses of
some of these and some idea of what they are? I'm looking to start
adding more design elements, other than glazes and glass, to my work.
I'm especially interested in something that would allow me to paint
and/or write on top of my glazes, and still retain functionality
(imagine a painting on the side of a bowl, or on the surface of a
platter).

Thanks in advance - I always get such great help from Clayart!
