hi hank

thanks for the tip on your use of bone ash at 50%

im still looking at the uses of bone ash as the major ingredient, but began to back
away when finding that human bone ash wont even begin to flux until after 1,600C,
or cone 18 and higher

this is not realistic for doing a workshop,

so i have begun to concentrate on glazes that call for some ash, and found about a
dozen in nigel woods newest book, "chinese glazes" using from 4 to 6 % bone ash.

and also in matt copper raku glazes up to 20%

im looking for those glaze recipes that would embelish the opulacent qualities of
phoshorous, and will have out of the kiln next week several tests

yes, i would like to compare notes

thanks, noel
