Hi Alisa:

I was quietly there, lurking around during the Per Arnoldi debacles/debates
of April. Great fun. I loved it.

I still have some things to work out in my head regarding these issues, and
you and Vince are helping me get these ideas aligned. I think part of my
opinion is being formed from the standpoint of truly loving Picasso's relief
print work, and knowing he had a great many guys around he hired who, like
me, had a printmaking background. They taught him how to register and make
multiple blocks work together, and experiment with various colors on various
print blocks.

I have no problem with his methods regarding his relief prints--he got a
hell of a lot of help with that, close to the point where others were
"throwing" for him. I guess I am still just that 2-d person trying to think
more like a 3-d person. I am still too in awe of someone who throws really
well to let them be anonymous in another's art. But I will get there. If
Picasso had hired me to help him with his prints, I wouldn't hesitate. I'd
be there in a flash, probably for a mere pittance. But if I were a really
great potter and he asked me to throw stuff on the wheel for him, I don't
know. This probably has to do, mostly, with the fact that wheel work is
probably my weakest area.

I will get there, to the right thinking on this, and you guys are a great
help to me!
Thanks!!!
