Hi

Anyone out there in Clayart remember some information about a clay exhibit
that is scheduled to open in Minneapolis on September 28 (pretty sure of the
date). I remember getting info about entering the competition so it was quite
a while ago. Naturally I circular filed it because being in Minneapolis
wasn't possible. NOW I find I will be arriving in Minneapolis on the
27th........ for the weekend and would like to see the exhibit. HELP!!!!!

All replies appreciated.....

Dear friends and neighbors,

I'm going to be visiting the Minneapolis area in October. Does anyone know of
any studios, galleries, pottery events that I could check out? I'm actually
thinking I might some day want to move to the area and I just want to feel
out the local clay scene there. Thanks for your help.

Steve,

I had mentioned Ernest because he is one of the younger artists at the heart of arts movement and energy in NE Minneapolis. These are the young artists who are in the trenches of making and selling their work, working together, synthesizing other ideas with other studio artists in a variety of mediums. I would highly encourage you to contact him as he will turn you on to people who are seriously juiced and committed to their art. By the way, Randy does pretty incredible work, knows his stuff too. It just depends on what kind of experience you are looking for: academic or bare knuckle artists in the trenches. Each have their value.
