Hello again guys ,I'm still here just crazy busy !! I was hoping to
get some help finding a matte, rusty, orange/ red finish for ^ 10R. It
doesn't need to
be a glaze,a slip would work fine. I have tried iron washes and slips ( red
, yellow and black ) and they
are just coming out a little too brown. The copper red glazes that I have
tried are a little purpley or a nice orange ,but mottled. Anybody know of
something to try next?
I have also been trying to decipher a glaze that I have a picture of.
It's on a piece by Yoshiro Ikeda ( if anyone has a chance to see his work --
yowza!) I have been told that it is a "separating" glaze and I would like to
make some up and test , but I don't know where to start. Does anyone have
any experience or knowledge of this kind of glaze?I know that the piece I'm
looking at is raku , and it looks like a controlled crawl -type of
thing.Really cool . Would love any information ya'll could give. Thanks alot
and I hope everyone is well , happy and busy too! pamalab

p.s. I really appreciated the thread on the blue celadons , I'll be testing
some soon!! Thanks !!
