The more sophisticated kiln i xeroxed is described in the
Jan/Feb 2000 issue of Clay Times. It is made with expanded metal =
(diamond
grid steel stuff) and ceramic fiber. Within the article is a reference =
to
the Nov/Dec 99 issue, in which they printed a how to on making a garbage =
can
kiln!

The expanded metal raku kiln is exactly the one we used for a class =
firing. Light enough for one man ( or woman) to lift. Pots reach =
temperature in about twenty minutes. It was an exciting day, and i'll =
post photos on my site as soon as i have a free minute.

Hope you can find a copy of these issues. =20
