Here in Japan, we (and many other people) heat with small portable
kerosene space heaters. We have two in our house, they plug in and have a
little timer so you can set them to come on at a certain time. They also
have blowers and seem pretty efficient, not like the ones I remember in
Michigan during the energy crisis. In the winter, we move them around,
according to what room we are occupying.

I'm not sure how we will heat in the studio. The person before us
used a little wood stove and burned scrap wood (same wood he used in his
kiln,) We might do that or use a kerosene heater.
