I have been throwing standing up for about 20 years. Found it easy to
adjust. On the wall behind my wheel I have a board with a wedge-shaped
addition ( like a little seat to lean on) attached to an old scissors jack.
I can adjust the jack so that my back brace/seat is near the wheel for small
items and farther away for bigger ones. In truth, I now only use the support
for bigger pots when I really need to lean against something to center.
Great suggestion Nils made about the sideways speed control.
