Hi, Mishy.
This is a cone 4-6 base that I've posted before when people were looking
for a pink or purple glaze, but if you put some manganese dioxide in it
instead of the pink stains that it was designed for, it will be a nice
cocoa to chocolate brown. One to 3% should do it. It may not be real
matte at cone 6. I fire it to 4 and have used it at 5 also.

Lewing's Raspberry Base
Custer 27
EPK Kaolin 9
Whiting 21
Silica 18
Frit 3134 9
Talc 8
Gerstley Borate 8

Good luck with the bid.

Hi all,
I am bidding a handmade tile job and the client wants matte beige and brown.
Any tried and true recipes out there? I'm ready to start testing and
recipes at any temperature would be appreciated!

I will certainly be researching the ceramicsweb databases and other online
recipe archives, but thought I would put out feelers here too, thanks!
