Dear Clayarters,

I had the pleasure of attending a Paul Soldner workshop which the Toledo

Potters' Guild sponsored when he was just getting into the raku bit,
circa early 1950's. I purchased one of his bowls, very classic in shape

with blue and black brushwork. I still have it and is has held up all
these years. It is extremely rough with so much grog but one of those
pieces you treasure as it was a beginning. I have a number of other
potter's early works luckily purchased when the prices were low or
exchanged for my work.

Thanks for listening.
