I am a bit confused . I also plan on doing this shortly, but
thought I should spray the kiln first with the ITC 100 then install
the dipped elements. Thought there would be less problem if and when
the elements needed to be replaced, with braking the kiln if these
fire hard together as I believe Mel had said. I have an L&L with the
element channels but my test kiln is a cress with soft brick
channels that are already loosing chunks in spots. I plan on using
the larger L&L for the electric gas. Would appreciate input from
those that have done such.

It doesn't matter. Spray before or after. Spray a thin, even
coat--shouldn't be thicker than 1/64th inch, maybe like a heavy paint
coat. nils
