Candace'
Trina Buff, Aurora, Craggie Crunch, Orange Stone and Phoenix, all of these
clays from Highwater we have thrown, handbuilt, glazed and fired to ^10R.
Phoenix, a light grey stoneware, has been our choice for 2 1/2 years with
no cracking problems in plates, bowls, altered shapes or attachments. Some
clays that I have used in the paast are stickey which gives me the creapy
crawlies, however Phoenix is clean, has a nice presence and will just sit
up on the batt and dry off looking great after you have thrown it or
stretched it into a new shape. Beautiful clay.
Caroline, In the North Georgia Mountains where it is damp cool after a
nice rain.
