Go to Seward and take a Kenai Fjords trip; if you're a hiker, there are
wonderful hikes all around. There are lots of potters in Kenai, Homer, and
Anchorage. Much to do, just depends on what interests you. Joan in
Anchorage where I took a long ride on our Coastal Trail and had to stop
twice for moose mamas and calves right on the trail.

Subject: Keni, Alaska in August

I will be spending a week with a friend near Keni, Alaska the week of August
14th. I have already made connections with a potter friend who is spending
the summer there but was hoping to visit other potters too. Is there anyone
on the list that I might drop in and say hi too? Anything I should
definitely see when I'm there both pottery and no-pottery related?

Only 30 minutes from Mel and we did have our furnaces on just a while ago
but it's back in the 70's and 80's now.

A fun thing is a canoe trip down the Swanson River on the Kenai National Moose Range. Ask around at some of the outfitter places. They should have the details.
