firing records for electronic kilns: from arnold

updated fri 4 aug 00

Arnold Howard on fri 14 jul 00

Last week I submitted a post to Clayart that included
attached firing records. The attachments were filtered
out. You can email me direct, however, and I will
email them to you.

There are three firing records:

im-187: Ramp Hold Firing Profile, a graph for charting
a firing.

im-188: Ramp Hold Firing Record, for recording a
custom firing. It will work with most controllers and
has spaces for eight segments.

im-189: Cone Fire Firing Record, for recording the
pre-programmed firings in your controller (fast,
medium, slow).

These are pdf files that open in Adobe Acrobat. Once
you open them, you can print the copies you need.

Or, you can wait two to three weeks, when these will
be posted at Paragon's completely updated website
(www.paragonweb.com).

With best wishes,

Arnold Howard
Paragon

Arnold, I would love to have the firing records. I purchased a new paragon
from a glass bead maker (her husband was trying to give her a present and
boy was it a big one) and love the ease of the computerized controls. Now i
have to computerize my existing large kilns to match. one worry I have that
you might know about- their susceptibility to power surges from our florida
lightning. So far i have run and unplugged the kiln each time the thunder
rolls. as the thunder rolls so do I. Is this necessary? Beth
