Dear Clayarters,

The Dayton Art Institute has a show running until August 27 of contemporary
Japanese ceramics collected by Carl A Weyerhaeuser.In
l972 and l973 alone , he purchased more than 300 pieces by 63 artists from
all the major centers of ceramic production in Japan. Ranging in size from
sake cups to large-scale sculptures the exhibition features more than l20
works of historically important ceramics such as Hagi, Bizen, Raku and
Shino.
Thought that those of you living within driving distance might want to
