Dear Clay-buds,

It appears that I may be working with a client in Stamford, CT for a few
months. If so, I will be in Stamford from late Sunday night through late
Thursday afternoon every week. Does anyone know of any studios, community
colleges, etc. nearby where I can take a clay class? I have to get in 40+
billable hours the 4 days I'm in town, so the days are long and I don't want
to have to travel too far to attend class.

Thanks for your help.

Shula,

The Silvermine Guild for the Arts is located in New Canaan, CT which is
about 10 maybe 15 minutes to Stamford on I-95. I haven't lived in New
Canaan for many years but Silvermine had excellent facilities and classes
when I did. Norwalk Community College might be a good resource to check
with. Norwalk is next to Stamford. I can't be anymore specific because I'm
doing all this from memory. I'd call Information or check the Internet to
see if either has a website to reach them. Good luck.

Shula,
The largest (ar rather, most widely known) arts center near Stamford is the
Brookfield Craft Center, Route 25, Brookfield, Ct. The phone # is (203)775-4526.
There is also Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, at 80 Audubon St.
ph (203)562-4927. I'm not sure how long it takes to get from Stamford to
Brookfield, but Stamford to New Haven is less than 30 minutes.

Good luck!
