I have just purchased a new kiln as my old one had several rows of elelments
ruined by a blow up in my kiln, and it was old, and it had lots of cracked
brick, and it just was too small anyway....but...
what can i do with it now, i have heard of people converting old electric
kilns into raku kilns and other things, can i use it to pit fire type thing
in? what are some of the things you have done, or seen done. it is an 18"
deep electric kiln
also, it has a kiln sitter timer on it... would it be worth my taking it off,
do people look for those things used?

thanks in advance
marie - ready to fire tomorrow afternoon, my kiln is delivered in the
morning!! already have about 3 kiln loads ready and waiting!!

Marie,
please remember to to a "blank" firing with just shelves and posts--I was told that
the elements could be damaged by dust, etc., flying around a virgin kiln if they
are not first "cured" this way.
And congrats on the new kiln!
