Dannon - Could you tell me a bit more about the small salt kiln ? Cone? =
Speed? How did the ware fire? I would also like to put something like =

It was only fired once while I was there. It was fired
quickly, about 4-5 hours I think, to cone 11 flat for
that particular firing. It could be fired slower, and
likely usually is, but we were in a hurry for that one
and the glazes weren't sensitive. I don't know how many times it
has been fired, but I think a lot, because Jason Briggs,
whose kiln it is, likes to fire his pieces one at a time.
That's why he built such a small kiln in the first place.
But it also means he fires frequently. He said so far
no problems with it.
