Dear all.
Thank you for the good advice concerning the webb site.

I am finding this Webb building business more complicated than I
imagined .

I normally use Explorer 4 and my Cyber Studio settings run in
harmony with this. The typeface setting is set to medium. To Day I loaded on
Explorer 5 and to my surprise the typeface setting is the size bigger.

Should I suppose everybody has a upgraded to Explorer 5 and not bothered
to change the default setting ( why should they ). Should I change my webb
page type size to something smaller. Especially since the browsers has to
start shoving the images about to make the type fit. Or was the setting of
my Explorer 4 type face set low by the Macmen to spite Microsoft, and to
convince me to use Navigator?

Or did the computer magazine publishers that sent me the disk with
the program change the default setting by some over site, and not chang it
back before they put it on the disk ?

Or is it a plot by international capitalists to depress the IT share
market , so they can buy back at a profit, while we sort it out. A mate of
mine reckons its aliens but he's paranoid.

Do the dossers at Microsoft not only have trouble with
compatibility with Apple but do not seem to be compatible with themselves?.
Or are the preference settings on computers set by the various computer
manufacturers to suit their screen resolutions?

It would be grand if the changes to the type size were not hidden
in the depths of some preference folder; so a viewer could quickly change to
the setting that the webb designer intended. Or better still an html
thingie that sets the page size proportionate to the window being used.

Maybe the people who work on browsers are related to the shower
that think speech recognition programs work. Thank god we don't have to pay
for them.

The only solution I can think of is to look at my site with as
many computers as possible and take a rough guess at the sort of settings my
customers and colleges might use. Or use a mean and spidery type face to be
sure to b ------------- ))- ;

Regards Paul Taylor

By the way I ditched Explorer 5 but I expect there are still
bits of it festering away in my systems folder.
