The surging of the Brent wheels is caused by the voltage dropping everytime
the controller calls for heat. Louis Katz is right and a larger supply
wiring to the kiln will probably cure it. Otherwise a constant voltage
transformer for the wheels would be needed.

Thanks David! The wiring for the kiln is more than adequate. It draws 42
ams and that circuit was originally set for a 100 amp kiln. I just put in
a smaller breaker for the reduced amp draw. I'm having the power company
check the transformer at the pole. That may be the problem. If it isn't,
I'll proceed from there.
