Hi Ron,
I was at my ceramic supplier yesterday, but I could not find the =
equivilant to fritt 3134 without the chemical analysis.=20
Can you send that to me when you have time?

Otherwise, I have moved on from Marek's recipe for the moment,=20
Postash Feldspar 40
Flint 25
Whiting 20
China Clay 12,5
Bentonite 2,5

to a simple one I wrote down that was posted by Doug Adams a long time =
ago, It reads like this
Gerstley Borate 36
Silica 30
Kaolin 22

I will have the test tiles in the kiln next week, also with oxide =
colorants. It could be, that this glaze could just as well serve my =
purposes. That is a base tranparent to color and-or opacify with a =
surface good for dishes.

Thanks and best regards.

Hi Alisa,

Good grief - I can't believe how far behind I am - what can I say - I
answer them as they come in and you are next.

The analysis for Ferro3134 is as follows. If you can't get it then choose
one that has little or no alumina and 20 to 30 boron - send me the analysis
and I will redo the glaze with it.

Ferro frit 3134
SiO2 - 46.5
Na2O - 10.3
CaO - 20.1
B2O3 - 23.1
Total 100.0

I notice the recipe below (Adams) only totals 88 - is that correct?
