Had a similar problem with a plate I liked a lot, about fifiteen inches =
dia. Cemented it to the outside wall of the house with liquid nails. =
Seems to be standing up to the weather.

Hope you have success.

Ivor.

Liquid Nails is a brand name for an industrial strength
adhesive used
in the construction industries in the US. It comes in a
caulking tub
that fits into a caulking gun and is ratchet/squeezed out
the tip to
apply. It is used to adhere plywood and particle board
during
construction, usually in conjunction with nails. the glue
will
reduce the amount of creaking in flooring, etc. It's name
describes it
pretty well.

Hi

could someone please explain me, what, for heavens sake, are "liquid
nails"? In my part of the world (germany) nails are made of steel or any
kind of hard metal, not at all "liquid". Do I live behind the moon and
miss an astonishing evolution of technics? ;)

Liquid Nails is the name of an adhesive available in the USA. It is very
strong and can be used when regular steel nails can not.

Sibylle,
Liquid Nails is a brand name ( like coca cola ) of an extremely strong
and flexible glue that comes in a tube that is crimped on one end with a
tapered spout that is factory sealed. You snip the spout and squeeze the
tube ( toothpaste comes in tiny versions and there are XL tubes similar
to caulking that fit in that metal caulk gun and are squeezed out). I am
sure you will get more coherent answers but I thought a lay answer might
make more sense....or nonsense....

hope this helps...Sandy T. on Keel Mountain in North Alabama, USA
