winter work

I've got kind of a different question to post to this group. If anyone
wants to supply input please post off list if you would like, or to the
group if you would like better (LOL).

I live in rural NW Pa where the winters get colder and longer every year I
live........I have had this thought for the last few years and think it is
about time to begin some cold hard research on the possibe solutions to
relieve my winter "whine".

I would like to keep my place here in Pa and work out of my studio and do my
business from this home base during the warmer months (and those at least
tolerable to me now). Which leaves about 4-5 months out of the year which I
would like to operate out of a different (warmer) home base and studio. I
am looking at this idea thinking "ah, it's just a pipe dream" or "yeah
right, and so would the rest of the north". Has anyone done anything like
this.......or similar to this? Kind of like a migrant clay picker or potter
or pugger (sorry, i'm kinda punchy this morning). My thinking is I could do
whatever kind of job i needed to to live off of till I got myself
established in a more desirable work atmosphere (studio).

My thinking is Florida for my winter roosting spot or near Fl. Could live
in country just as I do now.

Any input or thoughts?

TIA,

I had thought the same except I am now thinking of going to California.
Don't think I could afford the up keep on 2 places. Also insurance drops you
if the house is unoccupied for more than 30 consecutive days. The winters
are too long and cold for me in New Jersey. Think I might get more
productive days in the more moderate climate. The cold really bothers me
since I was in an accident 4 years ago. Wouldn't it be nice to have or
develop a coop of sorts so this could be done. ( I know I'll miss the green
and all the tall trees because I like to live in the country too.
Good Luck
