dichromate-bichromate chemical hazards

------------------
It has always been my understanding that Potassium Dichromate aka Bichromate=
was
a strong oxidising agent and potentially dangerous as an explosive material.
Ammonium Dichromate has been used in a pyrotechnic mixture which acted as a
simulation of a volcanic eruption. Jars I have possessed had a visual
Conflagration Warning. Pot Dichromate can be used for the same purpose.

Personally, I would steer clear of the stuff and not use it in any situation
where heating was considered. Another poison best kept out of the studio.
