Tom,
Thank you very much for explaining the difference between sodium silicate
and sodium acetate.
I doubt whether the temperature in my workshop will ever reach 1000
degrees. Besides, the sodium acetate is covered by water in a glass jar,
where it has been for the last couple of decades. It will not be
replenished. Mia in ABQ where the temperature reached the mid 90ties today.
