Chris - I had similar questions a few months ago. I called several firms
asking about "Anderol" with no response. I then called Skutt tech support
who advised:
- light machine oil (Three-in-One) will be acceptable, just a few drops.
- also the fan vane corrosion would be much reduced by not running the fan
until the initial drying phase is complete. i.e., follow the procedure one
used prior to an exhaust fan, leaving the lid cracked until no more water
vapor departs. Then turn the fan on.

I scraped the fan vanes carefully to remove the crud and lubricated the
motor. I don't remember exactly where but it should be put as close as
possible to where the shaft bearings are. I turn on the fan when water
vapor is gone and temperature is 150 oC or so.

>Two questions --

>did I do something wrong that caused this level of corrosion, or is
>this typical?

>how do I lubricate the motor?
